Information about Chile

  • 1- In order to enable the entry of collaborators, in the first instance, it is necessary to obtain approval from Softys Plant Protection (Internal Security Department).
    - For this purpose, please send an email to contractores@tissue.cmpc.cl with the full name and RUN of each collaborator to consult.

    2- - Subsequently, they must coordinate a training talk on Risk Prevention:
    - To enter Puente Alto / La Farfana Plant, contact Carolina Uribe at curibeg@softys.com
    - To enter Talagante Plant, contact Constanza Soto at csoto@softys.com
    - To enter Lo Echevers Plant, contact Camila Barrios at cbarrios@softys.com

    3- After that, and with the approval by Plant Protection and after the talk, the documents for the authorization of employees at Softys plants are the following:
    a. Updated and current employment contract (signed by the employer and employee). Life and accidents insurance, in the case of not having a contract (Applies to business owners or sole proprietorship workers)
    b. Identity card (copy of both sides).
    c. Training Register, there is an obligation to report occupational hazards. LAW 16.744. Supreme Decree No. 40., Art. 21 (ODI or DAS, signed and dated).
    d. Delivery record of Personal Protection Items (PPE, signed and dated).

    Note: It must be indicated to which commercial contract or OS it will be assigned and in which plant the entrance will be. In the case of subcontracting, they must send a commercial link and the Softys subcontracting authorization.

  • a) For a general plant visit you must wear:

    - Security shoes.
    - Reflective vest.
    - Phono or ear plug (Manufacturing, conversions, personal care).
    - Safety helmet (Manufacture Talagante, MP17 Puente Alto, entrance to CD storage area).
    - Protective lens (Talagante Manufacture).

    The cap is not a PPE per se, it is a good manufacturing practice to avoid contamination, but it should be used in conversions and personal care.

    b) For a service provider, the use of PPE may vary depending on the service provided, specialty, area to work and risks. These are the minimum PPE for a visit to a specific area (in addition to the above):

    - Protective gloves according to the risk which has to be avoid (temperature, cuts, chemical contact).
    - Protection mask for gases or dust, according to the exposure.
    - Welding mask.
    - Suit for welding.
    - Harness and fall arrest tails.

    They can be as diverse as processes and risks to protect.

  • For PO of materials: Materials must have been delivered.

    For service OS: The service must have been provided and you must have the HAS number (it is key that the HAS is completely released)

    For national providers the documents must be sent electronically and foreign providers are managed by Geodis (third party in charge of activation management)

  • The HAS number must be requested from the person who received the service

  • On Monday of each week according to the payment schedule (national provider or foreign provider)
